Upcoming Programs for Norfolk Adult Day Programs :

Simcoe Alzheimer’s Program:
It has been a busy and festive month at the Alzheimer’s Day Program. We started off the month with our Annual Client Christmas party at the Simcoe Legion. Staff, clients and volunteers enjoyed the musical entertainment of Ken Lightheart and Don Dunham. Dancing and laughing away the afternoon with Christmas cheer. December has been loaded with Christmas baking and programs geared towards celebrating the season. Learning about how people around the world celebrate and enjoying the festivities with our wonderful volunteers who only make our program better! Clients and staff are looking forward to a great 2018! We will be ringing in the New Year on January 2nd with John Moorhouse! Clients will be participating in the Alzheimer’s Walk for Memories at the Simcoe Aud. on January 25th. Supporting a cause that is near and dear to all of us here at the ADP. February will be filled with family and love. Celebrating the Chinese New Year, Family Day and of course Valentine’s Day!! Coming into March like a lion we will be ready to dance with our lovely musical entertainment for Saint Patrick’s Day. 2018 is gearing up to be a fun filled year so far at the ADP!

Adult Day Programming:
The Simcoe Integrated Adult Day Program finished 2017 with a festive party for our clients, their families, and our volunteers at the Simcoe Legion. Ken Lightheart and Don Dunham entertained everyone with a wonderful selection of holiday classics, and, of course, there was a visit from Santa, and lots of tasty treats. The weather co-operated, and we had a good turnout. It has been a fun year with lots of great experiences - interesting outings, new entertainers, a variety of engaging programs, and strong friendships made and built on.

2018 promises be an even better year! Ian Bell, John Moorhouse, and Donall Sweeney are all scheduled to perform in the upcoming months. Special programs in January and February have been planned to celebrate Robbie Burns Day, Chinese New Year, and Valentine's Day. Along with some favourites which will include Drum Circle, Bocce Ball, Bowling, and Trivial Pursuit, staff believe the Adult Day Program will continue to be a positive experience for all involved.
