Upcoming Programs for Norfolk Adult Day Programs :

Simcoe Alzheimer’s Program:

2018 started with a bang here at the Adult Day Program on Victoria Street! Ian Bell came to entertain our clients and he is always a hit. We rang in the new year with different crafts and games that were geared towards the holiday. As always, we participated in the Alzheimer’s Walk for Memories at the Aud. in Simcoe on January 25th. Helping to raise awareness for a cause that is very near and dear to all of our hearts. February was full of love and laughter. We celebrated the Chinese New Year – 2018 being the Year of the Dog! John Moorhouse and the Back-County Boys supplied us with some dreamy tunes to sing to over the course of the month. We celebrated March with the luck of the Irish. Learning all about Ireland as a country and making crafts and recipes that would make any Irishmen grin from ear to ear! We are looking forward to spring and all the fun that beholds us in the months ahead at ADP.

Simcoe Integrated Program:
It has been a great start to the year by all at the Simcoe Integrated Adult Day Program.  We have enjoyed entertainment by Ian Bell to celebrate New Year’s; pianist John Moorehouse came for our Valentine’s Day bash; and Donall and Cindy for St. Patrick’s Day.  New friendships have been made and current ones made stronger.
In April, we are welcoming to the Adult Day Program a country-bluegrass band called the ‘Old Bar Doors’.  They are working on an album and have some great country cuts for us to check out.  We are also welcoming back ‘Celebrity Productions’ – it will be interesting to see which celebrities make an appearance this time!

The Adult Day Program continues to enjoy visits from the Early Years program, as well as St. John’s Pet Therapy, and the school kids from Lynndale Heights.  These are enriching experiences for all involved.  In May, Gary and Jane will be entertaining us with their country classics.

It will be a busy and fun summer for everybody at the Adult Day Program.  We can’t wait for get outside and enjoy the warm weather with BBQs and outdoor activities.
